Scanpole gained a reputation for excellence through their supply of telegraph poles, which hold up BT telephones wires accross the country for generations. The same quality is evident in their fencing materials, which are manufactured from slow grown pine from far northern European forests. This superior quality timber is then dried and pressure treated with creosote to produce a product with an expected service life of 40 years.
